Center for Leadership Development Inc.
Welcome to the Center for Leadership Development Inc., founded in 1978 and headquartered in Kansas City. We are the organization behind the National Leadership Conference on Student Government — the nation’s longest-running annual conference dedicated exclusively to collegiate student government (SGA) leaders and advisors. For 48 consecutive years, we have connected SGA officers and advisors from two-year and four-year colleges and universities across the United States with the tools, strategies, and peer networks they need to lead effectively.

The Center was founded by Dr. Pat Bosco, retired Vice President for Student Life and Dean of Students at Kansas State University, with more than 50 years of experience in higher education leadership. Dr. Bosco’s philosophy — that authentic leaders create healthy environments that promote consensus and a sense of belonging to something bigger than oneself — is the foundation of everything we do. He is also the author of “Boscology 101: The Art of Authentic Leadership” and host of the Boscology 101 podcast, available on Apple Podcasts, Audible, and YouTube.
